What is a Bundle?

A Bundle is a diversified portfolio of shares, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), or both, that is compiled and managed by an asset manager.

The asset manager responsible for your Bundle will buy or sell shares in your portfolio and re-adjust the weightings to keep the risk vs reward balance in check. There’s also a small bundle fee which goes to the creator for their skill.

Bundles are available in your ZAR, TFSA, RA and USD accounts.

What is a Unit Trust?

A unit trust fund is a pooled resource, which means that it allows a group of investors to combine their cash and invest it.

Think of it like going in on a group gift. Taken altogether, those investments are called the fund's assets. While you as an individual invest in a unit trust fund, the fund itself is run by a fund manager, whose aim is to grow the overall value of the unit trust fund. The fund manager does this by investing the fund's assets, usually by buying stocks, bonds, or a combination of these two securities which are listed on the Stock Exchange. (Some unit trust funds can buy more complicated security types.). If you are looking for an affordable, convenient and professional way of investing, then a unit trust is for you. Unit trusts are also highly regulated so it gives the investor peace of mind that their funds are safe.
